COVID-19 vaccine confidence in the post-vaccination era: perceptions among adults with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases
In this Short communication, published in the journal Public Health in Practice,Imuno Brasil researchers investigated the perception of protection provided by vaccines against coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) in patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.
Regarding the perception of protection resulting from vaccination against COVID-19, it was found that 80.5% of eligible patients demonstrated confidence in the ability of vaccines to protect them against severe forms of the disease, while 19.5% reported feeling insecure or with some distrust.
These data, obtained from the real world in adults with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, revealed no discernible differences in the perception of protection against severe SARS-CoV-2 infection among the various COVID-19 vaccines available in Brazil.
